I've had Crohn's for 15 years now, with a side order of gradually-worsening food allergies. My daily routine is almost completely free of wheat, dairy, eggs, soy, and other misc. foods. I used to think my biggest hurdle was Crohn's, but the food allergies have actually become far more difficult day-to-day.
I've been approaching some sort of crossroads and wanted to connect with other people in a similar position.
It looks like I need to begin a new diet, as my food world has become way too constricted to be healthy. I've consulted with Dr. Cowan (author of Nourishing Traditions), but I have yet to adopt his recommended diet.
I have lots of stories and advice to share - I have been baffling western medicine for years now, and my life has had many ups and downs as a result of searching for my own answers. I look forward to writing more soon!
I've started picking up food allergies over the last three or so years and as my allergies evolve I'm looking for new ways to just function in Real Life. I know things are going to be better, but getting there is a little rough right now

Hi Astyas!
A warm welcome to FAS-- I know that this community is a terrific resource for answering pretty much ANY question about navigating life with food allergies.
I've learned so much from this place over the years.

WELCOME!! Yes, the level of comfort/function is ever evolving. There are times when we feel stressed and tighten our "comfort zone" and other times, when we feel more confident and try to expand it. It's ALWAYS hard when adding more allergens to a list
Glad you found us, there really is comfort in knowing you are not alone!
