Hi all,

I just went to the hairdressers and they put stuff on my hair called "Morrocan Oil" which is made from the Argan nut. My DS has treenut allergies...do you know if he will react to this?

I'm PA/TNA with almond being a bad treenut for me. Argan nuts are like almonds in that they are a drupe (fleshy outside, nut-kernels inside) --- I stay away from them. I have encountered argan nuts and argan nut oils in Moroccan restaurants. Never knew of then before then.

I'd say - if you are concerned...or will be stressed about it --- get thee back to the hairdresser and have them wash out your hair. Tell them why, give a good tip. Don't wash in your own shower, b/c you'll get it all over your skin while washing and then you'll be worried about the shower being contaminated.

For me, because I'm the allergic one...I read bottles of everything before it goes on/in my hair/scalp at the salon Smiley I've had a horrible skin/hive reaction in my teens from almond oil in a conditioner.

Don't stress about it, or not checking first, etc. It happens Smiley No worries, just go get your hair washed out Smiley
