Congratulations!

I'm so jealous -- we failed our baked egg challenge a few weeks ago. But I'm still happy for you -- that will take a whole level of concern off your mind. Woo Hoo! Smiley

DD saw the allergist this week and is doing so well with baked egg that she is going to have an open egg challenge at the allergist's office in December!

She is soooooooo excited! (me too!)

She also tolerated the flu shot for the first time!

Thanks!

I heard DD tell one of her friends that she can not wait for her test.

Her friend asked if she was scared and she said "no way"! "If I can eat eggs things are going to be so much better!" & "I'll be able to color real Easter Eggs too!"

Of course she asks me daily what eggs taste like and do I think she will like them? The doctor said we can bring salt and pepper so if she isn't happy with the taste, we can add a little flavor.

We will be testing with hard boiled eggs so she can test both the white and the yoke (less concern with yoke).

Congrats! what wonderful news!!

I'm assuming allergist is pretty confident she'll pass the open egg challenge?

(btw- I am not a big fan of hard-boiled eggs UNLESS they have salt & pepper so that's def a good idea to take them just in case).

Congradulations. I am so very very very happy for your DD.

Interesting about adding wheat and heat changes the protein in the egg making it more tolerable so the more wheat/flour in the item and the longer it is cooked - the better. I have not heard that before.
