I'm glad the doctor told him straight out that he needs to use the Epi!
Hope you have answers soon!!!
I used to work with a woman that had random anaphylaxis for no known reason. They couldn't pinpoint any foods or environmental factors. It was SCARY! He should inform at least a few coworkers about his current condition in case anything happens away from home. There was more than one occasion where that woman required an Epi at our offices. Her sister worked on my floor, she worked upstairs, so she always had her sibling nearby to ride in the ambulance. But like I said it was scary stuff when someone would call down & we'd have to run around to find the sister to get her upstairs (because occasionally she'd have to run up to EPI HER SISTER if no one around knew how to use it!!)
Like I said, scary stuff. He may need his coworkers to help get through this until you know what is going on.

His current co-worker is the dog, seeing as he is currently laid off from his job. I do not have any doubts the dog would try to help him, but I haven't quite gotten her to follow the Epi pen command. I'll work on that this weekend.
Ok, snarky, I know, but I needed to get a little out today!
I do worry about him being home alone and having something happen, though! Hopefully he will get an answer soon.
Whatever happened with that woman? Ever find out what caused the rxn's?

lol that's funny!
I don't know what ever happened. She and her sister are both on my Facebook so I'll have to send over a note and find out!
